Located on the shoulder of Siberia Peak just above the Motatapu/Polnoon saddle this Turk is in a sunny location with stunning views up into the head of the Polnoon River.
There are three ways to access it:
- 15km walk/ski from Treble Cone ski area across open alpine country. Allow 5-7 hours for this route.
- From Stockyard Creek in the Shotover Valley following a poled route that runs along the east side of the Coronet Station/Branches station boundary (please don`t enter the Branches Station without permission) then traverses the south side of the Polnoon valley. While the scenery is amazing expect a few prickles from the Matagouri bushes. Allow 8 hours.
- From the Mount Hyde Turk via Siberia peak. Allow 4 hours.
